The Geology, Mining and Mineral beneficiation Division of DASTURCO is staffed with qualified and experienced personnel, and equipped with modern facilities including versatile mining software. Over the years, the division has provided consultancy services, from concept to commissioning, for a wide range of projects in metallic and non-metallic minerals, namely iron ore, chromite, manganese, uranium, bauxite, limestone, dolomite, quartzite etc. DASTURCO also provided market study, market analysis and strategy for development of various ferrous and non-ferrous minerals.
GEOLOGY
Resource and reserve estimation:
DASTURCO has a proven track record of developing realistic approaches aimed at development of realistic model for mine development with an attainable product target of desired grade.
Data acquisition:
Acquisition of available geological and exploration data and validation of same is the basis for evaluating the resource estimate with an accuracy and decision.
Exploration strategy:
Based on evaluation of the available data and field reconnaissance, DASTURCO develops strategic plan for exploring deposits with an objective for optimising cost for such exploration.
Supervision of exploration:
Supervision of exploration, logging and sampling of the explored samples are the prime factors that contribute significantly in developing the 3-dimensional model for ore geometry.
Geological modelling:
Geological interpretation of `data thus acquired from exploration programme needs to be transformed into a realistic 3-dimensional model that satisffies the needs of mining and ore processing parameters including grade, density, ore types etc.
Reserves and grade estimation:
Reserves and grade estimations are carried out using geo-statistical techniques often incorporating variograph, criging and ISD method with consideration to the method of mining that are likely to be adopted for a particular deposit.
