Refractories Plant
DASTURCO provides comprehensive services in the field of construction of plants for the production of refractory materials starting from the geological investigation for refractory raw materials; development of process flow, finalisation of equipment specifications on the basis of laboratory and plant scale testing of raw materials, design, engineering and construction of plants for the processing and / or production of refractory materials.
Refractory Lining Work
The work starts from basic engineering, which includes selection of appropriate materials and lining configuration based on the process requirements in achieving high thermal efficiency and economic consumption of refractories. In several areas, DASTURCO has also undertaken detailed engineering of the refractory lining work, which includes development of brick shapes and brick counts, study of thermal profile along refractory lining, preparation of construction drawings etc. In order to ensure the best possible services in operation, DASTURCO also undertakes procurement services of refractory materials, inspection services, supervision of erection work and assistance in plant commissioning up to commercial operation.

DASTURCO also undertakes assignments for investigation to identify reasons for pre-mature failure of refractory lining and provides solutions for extending the life.
Import Substitution : Apart from vetting other's design, DASTURCO also undertakes assignment for import substitution and inspection of refractories as per Indian Standards or ASTM, BIS, DIN.
Refractory Lining Work Maintenance :
DASTURCO also helps its Client to formulate policy and create facilities for carrying out refractory lining maintenance work which includes developing appropriate organization for carrying out the work, procurement of maintenance equipment.

Further, in keeping with the continuous development in the field of refractory material technology, DASTURCO takes active role in applying non-conventional refractories manufactured from extremely pure input materials, like ultra-low cement and zero cement castables, self-flow castables, non-oxide refractories like carbon, silicon carbide and spinel-based refractories.
Extensive computer-aided design and drafting facilities are used in DASTURCO for analysis, design and preparation of drawings etc. AutoCAD is extensively used in preparation of drawings.

DASTURCO, has extensive specialised knowledge in the planning, design, engineering and construction of calcining plant for the production of soft burnt lime required for steelmaking in Electric Arc Furnace and Basic Oxygen Furnace. The collective expertise is available under one roof.
NATURE OF SERVICES
DASTURCO undertakes complete responsibility in establishing Calcining Plant. The work starts right from the geological investigation for establishing the proven reserve of limestone together with assessment of the quality of the deposits by laboratory scale study as well as through industrial scale tests. Once the market demand or the specific requirement of the customer as well as the quality of limestone are known, the plant capacity and the process route are finalised. On the basis of the plant capacity, the process route and the specific features of the site where the plant is proposed to be established, engineering planning is carried out which is followed by procurement of the major equipment and its auxiliaries, complete engineering services, supervision of erection work and assistance in plant commissioning and upto commercial operation.
